| The BRB, located in downtown Miami, will provide a
permanent home for two internationally recognized research programs
at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine: the Miami
Institute for Human Genomics, and the Interdisciplinary Stem Cell
Institute. The facility features 20,000 SF of Vivarium space for
both large and small animals, a Class 10,000 cGMP manufacturing
lab, BSL II Wet labs, a 20,000 lb bulk sterilizer, a -80 degree
freezer farm, case wash quarantines, instrument rooms, an imaging
suite with MRI, C/T and Catheterization Lab, flexible office space,
and a conference center. Kewaunee worked with the Architect and Construction Manager to accommodate the needs of the various disciplines using the Alpha System with suspended metal casework and vertical services.
